But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

— 2 Corinthians 8:7, NIV

Funding the Mission of Sunnydale Academy

Sunnydale Academy recently launched a student financial scholarship campaign to ensure no student is denied a Christian education based solely on financial need. You have the opportunity to help make that a reality.

Why give?

The ministries listed below are only possible because of the financial support of people faithfully following the promptings of the Holy Spirit. If there’s a particular area that speaks to your heart and you feel God leading you to give, we invite you to partner with us in keeping these ministries going with a one-time or recurring tax-deductible gift. To learn more about any of the areas mentioned, browse our “Ministry Services” menu.

ACS Disaster Response

When disaster strikes in the Iowa-Missouri Conference, ACS Disaster Relief volunteers mobilize to serve communities in need. Your gift helps cover expenses and provides for relief supplies.

Camp Heritage

Your gift supports capital improvements at the camp, including renovations that will enable the camp to more effectively fulfill its mission to our members and youth. You can support the camp’s operating expenses under “Combined Youth Ministries.”

Combined Youth Ministries

The Combined Youth Ministries fund supports three major areas of youth ministry—Elementary Education (50%), Sunnydale Academy (25%) and Camp Heritage (25%).

EDUCATION
The Iowa-Missouri Conference operates more than a dozen elementary schools and one high school boarding academy. Students of Adventist schools outperform the national average in all subjects and in all grades tested. They also score higher than expected based on testing of their individual abilities. In addition to strong academics, a central focus is helping our young people become invested in the mission of the church around the globe.

CAMP HERITAGE
The conference operates a summer camp on the shores of the Lake of the Ozarks. Hundreds of young campers and family members come each summer to enjoy the Christian atmosphere and gain the blessing of outdoor recreation in this beautiful setting in nature.

Conference Evangelism

Evangelism is the lifeblood of the church as we cooperate with the Holy Spirit to fulfill the gospel commission Christ has given to us. As Seventh-day Adventists we are prophetically called to preach the gospel and share the hope of a soon coming Savior. A large percentage of new members first heard about the three angels’ messages through intentional evangelistic ministry efforts.

New Horizons

Your gift in this area supports special projects at Sunnydale Academy not related to operating expenses. These include history maps, P.E. equipment, music library, art supplies, digital cameras, math and science equipment, computer hardware and software, transportation vehicles and more.

Refugee Ministries

As various crises increase across the globe, hurting and displaced people groups from all over the world are coming to communities across Iowa and Missouri to build new lives. This is a time of unparalleled opportunity to reach out and serve those God has placed at our doorstep.

Through the Refugee Tuition Assistance Fund, refugee students who would not otherwise be able to attend one of our schools can receive a Christian education. Your gift supports this and other initiatives of Refugee Ministries.

Sunnydale Adventist Academy

As mission grows and facilities age, renovations and building improvements are needed. Your gift in this area supports these capital improvements. You can support operating expenses of the school under “Combined Youth Ministries.”

How to give

The button below leads to our Adventist Giving payment portal. Once there just enter the amount you’d like to give next to each category you’ve chosen to support. Adventist church members can also pay their tithe there.

There’s an option at the top to choose a one-time donation (default) or a recurring donation. For one-time gifts, you’ll have the option to give using an established Adventist Giving account, register for a new account, or give as a guest. Recurring donations require an account.
