Leadership of the Iowa-Missouri Conference is closely monitoring the rapidly changing impact of the coronavirus. The health and safety of church members, students, employees and communities throughout our field is our top priority, and we are prayerfully evaluating steps that may need to be taken to lower the risk of exposure as much as possible.

We urge churches and schools to follow the restrictions and guidelines being established by local, state and federal governments. The conference will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate any additional steps that may need to be taken.

Several conference events have been cancelled. For a regularly updated list, please see the FAQ section at imsda.org/covid-19. Conference elementary schools, Sunnydale Academy and Union College have all made adjustments to their schedules. Parents are encouraged to contact the schools directly with any questions.

As churches temporarily suspend Sabbath services, we recognize the need to maintain connections with fellow believers in these uncertain times will be more important than ever. Click here for a list of live stream services and other media resources for Sabbaths at home. We’ve also set up a prayer line for those who want to join together in lifting up one another and our communities during this crisis. And, of course, we will continue sending out our weekly conference e-newsletter, imConnected. If you haven’t yet signed up to receive these regular updates by email, visit imsda.org/newsletter to sign up.

We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available. Resources for minimizing the risk of exposure to the coronavirus are provided below. These and more are also available at imsda.org/covid-19.
