Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
— 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NIV
What began in the 1980s as a ministry predominantly to the Hispanic population in the Kansas City area has grown to over a dozen places of worship providing services in Spanish around the Conference, as well as several small groups scattered throughout.
Mission-focused discipleship is the driving force of the our Hispanic churches. With the sole aim of proclaiming the soon return of Jesus, they are immersing themselves in the social life of their communities, offering programs in health, marriage counseling, immigration services, English as a second language and, in some places, worship services for English-speaking people.
