Description: The Iowa-Missouri Conference Superintendent of Education is responsible for all educational programs including the administrative and supervisory responsibilities of the department of education.
Experience: Must have strong commitment to Adventist Education and Seventh-day Adventist church teachings. This person must have successful administrative experience including school leadership as well as exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills. Graduate degree in education or related field is preferred as well as knowledge of Standards Based Curriculum. The ideal candidate must have excellent judgment, ability to make decisions in an ever-changing environment, conflict management skills, and ability to negotiate as well as seek and accept counsel. A successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, and time management skills. This person must also be able to effectively interface with all levels of the conference including administration, local school/church leaders, co-workers, parents, and volunteers.
