An EF 2 tornado hit the small community of Malden, Missouri on Feb. 24.

Malden, which is southwest of Sikeston and home to approximately 4,000 residents, has been significantly impacted by this storm. Around 75 structures were affected, with 11 homes fully destroyed and another 11 severely damaged.

Adventist Community Services Disaster Response volunteers from the surrounding communities of Cape Girardeau, Popular Bluff and Sikeston will be providing support, along with other volunteers from St. Louis.

A Multi-Agency Resource Center will be open Friday, Mar. 2, from 2 – 8 pm. There will be at least 12 ACSDR Ambassadors providing guidance and emotional support to impacted residents there.
