We welcome Candis Braxton as our main speaker for this transformative event. Candis is a published author, lecturer, international speaker, and missionary passionate about helping others break free from dysfunctional generational cycles. With 19 years in the Seventh-day Adventist faith, 13 years of marriage, 12 years of motherhood, and six years in marriage and family therapy, Candis brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to share.

Candis holds a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University (formerly Northcentral University) and has received numerous honors for her work, including the NCU President's Merit Scholar award and the 2024 ACJS William L. Simon/Routledge Publishing Outstanding Peer Reviewed Paper Award. She is also an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) MFP-Y Fellow Alumna.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-A), Candis serves adolescents, young adults, seasoned adults, premarital couples, married clients, and families across North Carolina and Kansas. She also works as a Consultant for Fiat Lux's Mental Health Corporate Wellness Program.

Weekend Schedule:

The Early Bird Sessions begin Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., Event check-in begins Friday at 3 p.m., and the evening program begins at 7 p.m. The retreat concludes on Sunday at noon.

Cost

Includes all retreat events and materials and a beautiful vegetarian cuisine: breakfast, lunch, supper on Sabbath, and breakfast on Sunday. Please note:

• IF VEGAN MEALS are preferred, please indicate on the registration form.

• The registration fee does not include lodging; each Registration is for one person only. 

• $110 - through Thursday, August 30.
• $120 - through Tuesday, September 5.

General Information

The Retreat is open to women 13 years of age and older. Women between the ages of 13-17 should indicate so below.

Infant Care (0-24 months) will be available during the following sessions only: Friday evening at 7 p.m., Sabbath afternoon seminar, and Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m.

No infant or child will be allowed in the meeting rooms. Preregistration for infants is required. Must supply own diapers, milk, etc.

The Craft Sale will be open Friday afternoon, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning. Please donate handmade crafts only.

This year, we are not requiring pre-registration for breakout sessions.
